Is this donation tax deductible?

ScholarMatch is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.

Can i donate by mail instead?

Can I ask my employer to match my donation?

Yes! You may be able to double the impact of your support by having your donation matched by your employer. To check if your company matches employee donations, select the "See if your employer will match your donation" option and type in the name of your employer. After donating, you will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to request a matching gift from your organization. Please contact us at generosity@scholarmatch.org if you need any further assistance.

Can I donate stock options?

Yes! Many of our supporters choose to donate stock since it's mutually beneficial. ScholarMatch receives the full value while you avoid paying capital gains tax. Please email our Director of Development, Julie Angulo, at generosity@scholarmatch.org to learn more.

Can I donate via a Donor Advised Fund (DAF)?

Yes! If you would like to give through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), please contact your DAF holder to recommend a grant to ScholarMatch. We gratefully accept grants of all sizes.
