Adriana Aguilar

Adriana Aguilar (she/her) is a first-generation college student and transfer graduate who returned to higher education after a 13-year gap. Growing up believing that college was out of reach, she enrolled in community college and, with support from the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS), achieved a goal she once thought impossible: transferring to UCLA. Her passion for helping students succeed began as a student worker in the EOPS office at Yuba College, where she supported students from low-income and first-generation backgrounds similar to her own. At UCLA, Adriana earned a bachelor's degree in Education and Social Transformation with a minor in Chicana/o and Central American Studies. She continued her commitment to educational equity by mentoring community college and transfer students throughout the transfer application and transition process. In her free time, Adriana enjoys thrifting, having picnics with friends, trying new cafés, and exploring Los Angeles.
