ScholarMatch is now offering a free pilot program to help scholars successfully navigate the transfer process and obtain a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution in any STEM field.

Scholars in our STEM Transfer Program will receive the following support in the year before transferring:

During the 2026-2027 program year, we will be able to serve up to 150 students.
We welcome first-gen students majoring in STEM from anywhere in California, including the San Francisco Bay Area, LA County, and rural communities. Please read the eligibility section to learn if you meet the general eligibility requirements before applying.
Students can anticipate spending 2-4 hours per month on the program, not including time spent working on application materials.
If you will be working on your transfer application in fall 2026 and are looking for additional support, particularly with essays and financial aid, then this program is a great fit for you!
Yes, in addition to supporting transfer to the CSUs or UCs, we provide support with transfer to private institutions in California and out of state.
